Description
The Coarse60 is a 60% Alice layout keyboard with a leaf spring mounting system at a great cost! The hotswap PCB provided with the keyboard has a wide array of key support, with the only restriction being unable to have split backspace. The leaf spring mounting system of the keyboard, alongside the acrylic bottom panel, are two unique aspects to this keyboard.
The leaf spring mounting system is best explained by the designer, seh0nk, themself: “the four holes in each corner of the plate are used to screw the plate into the case, and will be the only points of pressure on the plate. The plate will flex when the strips of metal connecting the hole to the main plate bend.”
The acrylic bottom extends up the sides and back of the case, which will give a really nice diffusion of light from the LEDs on the underside of the PCB.
Optional parts offered for the Coarse60 are an extra hotswap PCB, and your choice of aluminium or white POM plate.
