    Cedric R., designer

  • SK Dot Cat & Dog is a new addition to SwitchKeys’ Control series of deskmats, and features a specialized surface material that provides a superior mouse friction experience. To this end, the Control surface has undergone extensive prototyping, and has been designed with consulting assistance from several Immortal-ranked Valorant players.

Featuring two adorable pixel designs by the exceptional Split.Lab in both light and dark colourways, SK Dot Cat & Dog is available in a total of four great styles!

  • “For as long as I can remember, pixel art has always had special meaning to me. While working with pixels, the simplest form of digital art, I feel I am solving a puzzle. The constraints of a limited colour palette and the challenge of coming up with the perfect grid and alignment to achieve my artistic goals brings me immense enjoyment. I also feel a sense of nostalgia from my upbringing around early video game graphics.” – Retoid of BKM Caps

Combining the love of pixel art with their love of the mechanical keyboard hobby, Retoid utilized their favourite pixel art palette EDG32 (32-bit) which was used as a starting point for the original 32-Bit Build deskmat design. The Navy colourway is inspired by black and gold PCBs, Clay by the popular Olivia colourway, and Aged Olive by classic military-style electronics and avionics. Each colourway is accompanied by an accent colour reminescent of their favourite switch: the Holy Panda.

  • DCS Blue Moon is made in the image of the lunar phenomenon, reflecting in a body of water. The cream white legends represent a full moon tinged by the teal tint of the modifier legends, all reflecting into the caps’ deep blue.

Value was a major consideration when this set was designed, striking a delicate balance of quality construction and flexible kitting; between the comprehensive base kit and optional extensions, DCS Blue Moon provides compatibility for virtually every layout. For those who wish to further personalize their board, the “Full Moon” alphas provide a nice contrast to the stock modifiers, and the packed Novelties kit contributes to the overall theme with amazing artwork created by Stellaidascope. Finally, this project features several metal artisan keycaps: a 1u cap from HIBI, as well as 1u and 2.25u caps that glow in the dark, courtesy of Keybee!

  • The Ouchkick 2 x Space deskmat is a fresh take on the Ouchkick deskmat by Zach Puchowitz. The easily-recognizable style of the deskmat’s pattern has ZP written all over it, and features a number of his classic doodles along with several new additions!
