  • AL Gestalt by Timothy of Akuko Labs is a tribute to the beauty, simplicity, and versatility of the Bauhaus Artistic Movement. Drawing directly from the Bauhaus design language, each legend has been with primary shapes—circles, squares, and triangles—and utilises the Bauhaus colour palette of blue, yellow, and red. This design choice not only pays homage to the Bauhaus movement but also creates keycaps that serve as functional art pieces, with the shapes and colours subtly hinting at the underlying legends they represent.

The deskmats take the legends and creates a geometric pattern. They come in two designs: Monoline and Multicolour. 4mm think with a rough texture. 900 x 395mm and 854 x 400mm respectfully.

Check out the keycaps that are being offered as well!

  • “For as long as I can remember, pixel art has always had special meaning to me. While working with pixels, the simplest form of digital art, I feel I am solving a puzzle. The constraints of a limited colour palette and the challenge of coming up with the perfect grid and alignment to achieve my artistic goals brings me immense enjoyment. I also feel a sense of nostalgia from my upbringing around early video game graphics.” – Retoid of BKM Caps

Combining the love of pixel art with their love of the mechanical keyboard hobby, Retoid utilized their favourite pixel art palette EDG32 (32-bit) which was used as a starting point for the original 32-Bit Build deskmat design. The Navy colourway is inspired by black and gold PCBs, Clay by the popular Olivia colourway, and Aged Olive by classic military-style electronics and avionics. Each colourway is accompanied by an accent colour reminescent of their favourite switch: the Holy Panda.
