I won’t forget the trucker hat I got from our vacation which says “MAKE LOVE, NOT WAR.” Coincidentally, the hat’s main color is hot red, with LOVE in white and WAR in black. I loved that hat, but I lost it after a few years and I couldn’t find that very same design again. But that’s okay, life moves forward. Inspired by this childhood memento and the board game Gomoku, Jaekeyed has partnered with Wuque Studio to create Aka Haiiro (lit. “red grey”), an all-side dye-sub PBT set with unique legends and broad compatibility – supporting ISO, Alice, 40s, 60s, full-size, and everything in between!
Aka Haiiro has a single deskmat available for purchase, titled “Breathe”. This mat features an attractive grid pattern broken up by gaps that outline the corners and centre of a 9×9 Go board, making it fully functional for playing up to four games of Go or Gomoku at the same time!

Her hair color inspired the top-down cream to purple gradient; her dress, the pink accent color; and her hair beads, the dark blue-grey legends. All colors in this project were selected from the Pantone Uncoated Formula Guide. In order to emulate her character in a typeface, Inverse Design Collective decided to go with all lowercase legends and a rounded sans serif, Proxima Nova Soft, for the Latin Alphas and Chihaya Jun for the Katakana and Hiragana Alphas.

SA Ramses was designed to mimic the deep green of the Nile surrounded by sandy banks. This has since expanded into versions where the colours are inverted, or a single colour across the whole set. Avrocado has designed SA Ramses to have four different colour combinations: opt for the green on the mod keys rather than the main alpha keys, or just a full beige kit to match a unique board colour.
To add talent on talent, the lovely EURApsd has designed matching deskmats that capture the natural curves the Nile has carved out in the landscape over an unimaginable amount of time, with the statues of Bastet and Anubis looming in the distance.
